Sewing
Construction and craftsmanship
As a maker I have worked to develop and refine my sewing skills. I have experience in creating intricate and detailed costumes. I have demonstrated my ability to construct costumes with precision and accuracy as well as making them practical for performance or specific use. My skill level is reflected in the fact that i have won awards with my fabrications. I am dedicated to creating high quality products that can exceed expectations.

Applied Practical Theatre Experience
Working for Theatre Productions
I have created costumes specifically for theatre design. As an experienced costume fabricator, I have been tasked with creating specialty pieces that needed to be custom made, due to their complexity. In addition to working in costume design for theatre, I have also worked in lighting design, giving me a unique perspective on the overall theatrical experience. I use my knowledge, experience, and creativity to help create pieces that make every show unique and memorable.
Research and Replication
Taking reference to create physical objects
I have recreated objects from the big screen ever since I realized I could. I have a passion for recreating these incredibly detailed objects and making them tangible. I attribute lots of success in this area to my ability to research. Even the parts that I do not make, are not decided upon lightly. Whether I am researching the most accurate version of something for purchase or for my own reference for replication, I pride myself on my dedication to getting the most accurate information. I feel the precise research is reflected in the put together final products.

These two pieces (Captain America's Shield and Star-lord's Walkman) were created by me utilizing 3D printing.

Other Materials
Working with foam, wood, ect.
In addition to my other skills, I have experience working with materials such as EVA foam. I have used EVA foam to create costumes and props such as armor. I have also mixed different materials and techniques such as woodworking, foam sculpting and the incorporation of magnets to create unique pieces such as a working version of Thor's hammer, Mjölnir, based off my own design.
Design
Creating Original Designs and Concepts
In an effort to create new and original ideas, I have practiced and demonstrated my ability and continued interest in learning how to create designs from start to finish, whether it be to hand off or to create myself. I have demonstrated taking a script, or other source material, and then extracting the essence of the character in order to create what i feel is a true-to-the-character costume design. I have experience in taking a character from inspiration all the way to a finished sketch.
